Heron Creek welcomes Kio fish!

On April 22nd Heron Creek added Koi fish to the lower pond. Koi fish are a symbol of luck, prosperity, and good fortune in the Japanese culture. The ponds at Heron Creek are not only for function but also provide aesthetic beauty while adding a sense of calm to the community.

We invite you to join us at the lower pond and toss in a few handfuls of fish food—the friendly Koi fish will love you! This a great activity for the kids, they can enjoy the waterfall while you take in the beautiful mountain views. Bring them by today!

In the near future Heron Creek also has plans to add trout to the upper pond—which will provide opportunities for fishing.

New Helena hay maze offering family fun

After having a great time at a hay maze in Bozeman, Bekka Cantrell with Sussex Construction decided one in Helena would make for a fun family activity this October.

The opportunity to build a maze came together quickly to both incorporate the three-day Helena Parade of Homes and to benefit some young local athletes.

A Helena Parade of Homes Like You’ve Never Seen Before

For 27 years, HBIA has organized the Parade of Homes; an annual event displaying our members’ skills, craftsmanship and accomplishments across the Helena Valley. This is an incredible opportunity for HBIA builders, subcontractors and suppliers to showcase the homes they are building within our community and the pride they have in their membership with HBIA. Thousands of community members tour the Parade homes each year and this year the Parade of Homes will bring innovative concepts to ensure there is value for everyone at the event.

New hay maze open in Helena

HELENA – Helena’s first hay maze is open to the public, but it’s also benefiting local athletes in the Capital City.

Bekka Cantrell, one of the owners of Sussex Construction, wanted to make the Parade of Homes a more exciting and community event this year. She thought it would be fun to make something like a hay maze, because she says she has never seen anything like it in Helena in the 20 years she has been here.
